Overview

As Training Coordinator (TC) you will assist in the development and delivery of our training program, under the guidance of the Guest Experience Manager. You will continuously develop our Team Member Training Program and play a crucial role in shaping the guest experience and hospitality at Flyover in Vancouver. Your schedule will also include front line shifts to accommodate business needs, which will be beneficial to developing our training program.

What is the compensation for this role?

The wage for this role is $18.65CAD hourly and a full breakdown of perks and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.

What will you do in this job?

  • Deliver training that aligns with Flyover Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ensuring information is up to date and relevant at all times
  • Bring high energy, creativity, and awareness to delivering training
  • Contribute to building a respectful environment where safety comes first
  • Source creative training ideas to ensure continuous development of Flyover programs
  • Take initiative and anticipate the training needs of the Flyover team, leaders, and the business
  • Assist in the delivery of our full employee training cycle (from identifying training and development needs, gathering feedback, developing and delivering training programs)
  • Assist in updating all training materials, policies and procedures
  • Anticipate and actively respond to guest needs to elevate guest experience and hospitality at Flyover
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring to the team as needed

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a guest-focused environment, including experience asa Flight Guide
  • Experience giving presentations and speaking in front of large groups
  • Experience working in a high-energy, dynamic, diverse team environment
  • Experience handling challenges and unforeseen issues with creativity and humor
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in all situations, clear in both oral andwritten communications, including fluent in English language
  • Proven ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Proficient in ticketing system and ensure all sales transactions (FIT’s, groups, pre-paid voucher, ticket, retail, food & beverage) are processed efficiently and accurately ensuring a seamless guest experience
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks needing attention
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods of time in both an indoor and outdoor environment
  • First Aid certification is an asset
